Friday With Pedro Arrupe, SJ

“Nothing is more practical than finding God,
that is, falling in love in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you will do with your evenings,
how you will spend your weekends,
what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.
Fall in love. Stay in love.
And it will decide everything.”

Pedro Arrupe, sj

so that’s what it is–I finally realized I’m in love with blogging…No wonder my dear husband said, “I hope this doesn’t come between us.”

    ha!

seriously, being in love is a choice, when the feelings fade and the euphoria of new beginnings settle down, it takes a commitment and faith in God to deepen our love more and more.

I still have Fr. Arrupe’s book – - his account of that horrific Atomic Bomb Day in Japan. The book was taken with permission from the Heswetik library but forgot to return. oopss.
