I first heard about the Catholicism Project, produced by Mike Leonard of NBC’s Today show from stephencuyos.com. That was almost a year ago. I did try to peek at the project site today, curious about how it’s been doing. Host Fr. Barron says they’re 75% past to their goal. If this is the first time you hear about the Project, you can watch the captivating trailer here. But what caught my attention was a certain point in his pilgrimage – the trip to Mexico, to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. If there is one religious stopover I like to drop by, it’s this Basilica built on an ancient city of the Aztecs. Mother Mexico remains a mystical place because of the presence of Our Lady, and the river of religious faith that fills it year in and out. Take a closer look at the city, the Cathedral and the image of Our Lady through these YT clips. Meanwhile, forget about the swine flu negative publicity and be awed.
