Join me in the spirit of prayer and self-restraint as I fast for 9 days in the rhythm of the Ramadan. This is for personal and communal reasons, having in mind the religious and ethnic conflicts between the Buddhists and Muslims in Burma and other parts of the world. I don’t often trust stories of Time Magazine and so I considered it anti-peace its June 2013 cover story with the title The Face of Buddhist Terror. Time Magazine could have been more specific about any extremist religious group, or more dogged in its research about its historical background. But we all know that news titles matter for marketability and profit which is what Time Magazine is primarily motivated with.
